UniKL SkillSwap: Terms and Conditions

Welcome to UniKL SkillSwap. By accessing or using this web-based peer learning platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. This platform is developed as a functional design project under the academic supervision of Ts. Faridah Yahya for the UniKL MIIT community.

1. Eligibility and Registration

  • Users must be currently enrolled students of UniKL MIIT to register for an account.

  • Registration requires a valid UniKL Student ID for authentication and system validation.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

2. Nature of Service: Non-Monetary Exchange

  • UniKL SkillSwap is a pure barter-based system; the exchange of skills is strictly non-monetary.

  • Users are prohibited from requesting, offering, or accepting financial payments, gifts, or any form of monetary compensation for skill-sharing sessions.

  • The platform facilitates a "Skill for Skill" community to encourage shared knowledge without financial barriers.

3. AI Tutor and Content Guidance

  • The integrated AI-driven tutor is provided as a support tool to offer real-time hints, code debugging, and conceptual summaries.

  • The AI is intended for content guidance only and should not be used as a primary source for academic cheating or automated assignment completion.

  • While the system uses REST APIs for intelligent tutoring, the accuracy of AI-generated content is not guaranteed and should be verified by the user.

4. User Conduct and Peer Interaction

  • All interactions during peer learning sessions must remain professional, respectful, and focused on the identified learning goals.

  • Users must not post or share content that is offensive, illegal, or violates the intellectual property rights of others.

  • The platform reserves the right to moderate content and suspend accounts that violate community standards.

5. Certification and LMS Lite

  • Digital certificates generated by the LMS Lite module are intended to track learning progress and verify session completion.

  • These certificates are non-official digital records and do not constitute formal academic accreditation from UniKL MIIT.

  • Fraudulent completion of sessions to obtain certificates will result in immediate account termination.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • UniKL SkillSwap is a student design project and is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind regarding uptime or data persistence.

  • The development team and UniKL MIIT are not liable for any technical issues, data loss, or disputes arising from peer-to-peer interactions.
